Missional living does not exist apart from the Kingdom of God! Jesus was, is and will always be about His Kingdom! This truth and how it’s applied is often missing from equipping Christ followers today. But this is a major focus of Mobilize Ministries™ missional living equipping because it was a major focus of Jesus!!! This blog proposes “Kingdomize” to be a new word for Christ-followers and especially for you today! Jesus invited His followers into a Kindomized lifestyle. “Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God.” And the twelve were with Him,” (Luke 8:1 NKJV) Because of how Jesus was “with” the disciples, we’re passionate about mobilizing Christ-followers to meet intentionally with those in your life as well. BUT NOTICE: Jesus was preaching and bringing the “glad tidings of the Kingdom of God”! Jesus could not separate the Good News from His Kingdom. He did not separate the Kingdom from His daily missional living! May I create a new word for you right now? Jesus “Kingdomized” His missional life! Here are two roles to follow Jesus’ footsteps in Kingdomizing your missional lifestyle:
- Bring Heaven Into your missional living! This is the vertical way to Kingdomize your missional life. Jesus passionately prayed “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10 NKJV) It might blow your mind to realize how God answers Jesus’ prayer. Here’s God’s answer: YOU! YOUR DAILY LIFE! YOUR INTENTIONAL MISSIONAL LIVING! Everyday, YOU bring the Kingdom of God among your spheres of influence: your family, your friends and your co-workers! Your life reveals the Kingdom of Jesus to all you come into contact with as you give an encouraging word, pray for a friend’s healing, share the Gospel with a co-worker, or give a sandwich to a homeless person on the street corner. [tweetable author=”@toddlollar”] Your MISSIONAL LIFE may be the only glimpse of the Kingdom of God that some may experience. So invite everyone you know to experience this rescue mission on the cross that saves us from Satan’s rule into the Kingdom of Jesus. [/tweetable] “For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.” (Colossians 1:13 NLT)
- Thrive in your identity as Jesus’ ambassador of His Kingdom. Kingdomize your missional life by activating your role as Christ’s ambassador of His Kingdom. “All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:18, 20 NIV) This is how the Apostle Paul emphatically exclaims to you that YOU ARE
GIVEN A POWERFUL PERSONAL MINISTRY! This is God’s gift to YOU! Your role is an ambassador of Jesus! Just like ambassadors do, you represent God’s Kingdom to everyone you come into contact with. You may be the only way people in your spheres of influence smells the sweet scent of Jesus. In fact the Word of God says, “For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;” (2 Corinthians 2:5) Among those who are perishing in the stench of death, YOU, being in Christ and Christ dwelling in you, may be the ONLY way those may experience the smell of the sweet scent of Jesus! This is the horizontal way to Kingdomize your missional life as you go out to where you live, work and play displaying as Christ’s ambassador what residency in His Kingdom on earth is like.
[tweetable author= @toddlollar] God chose in His sovereignty to need your life. Yes, your life, your missional living is THE way that God chose for His Heavenly Kingdom to come down and to expand across the earth! [/tweetable] God does not have a plan B! You are His plan A to expand His reign on earth as it is in Heaven! So, how are you going to tangibly Kingdomize your missional living this week? How are you going to display God’s Kingdom to all you know? Who are you going to start meeting with to invite into Jesus’ Kingdom? Please comment and continue the conversation below.
