This past weekend was very special as it was DFW pre-kickoff to the Mobilize Ministries™️ Weak Is The New Strong Tour. I’ve been reflecting on it all this past week. 3 words to describe how special it was. These three words can mobilize YOUR daily missional life! - Empowerment – How special it was to kick everything off with Pastor Robert Morris as He prayed over us asking the Holy Spirit to lead the ministry tour. I moved to the DFW after seminary. I lived with my longest roommate ever, Michael Miller, now he’s known as the founder of the UPPERROOM. Back when I first moved to the DFW, he introduced me to the teachings of Robert Morris. We’d go worship Jesus at the church he planted, Gateway Church, when they were meeting at a very small venue in Grapevine. His teachings blew me away. Of course, Gateway churches are all over the U.S. now. I heard biblical teachings on the Kingdom of God, Holy Spirit and freedom in Christ that I never heard in seminary. These biblical teachings transformed my mind, life and ministry so much that I call this time my “Seminary Part ll”. To say the least, I was deeply touched when Pastor Morris endorsed my book, Weak Is The New Strong: God’s Perfect Power In You. We were blessed to be able to meet with him and his family when we arrived in the DFW this past weekend. What a way to start a ministry tour as he prayed over us asking God’s Spirit to move through our ministry tour! This amazing experience reminds me of this scripture. “Then you will be empowered to discover what every holy one experiences—the great magnitude of the astonishing love of Christ in all its dimensions. How deeply intimate and far-reaching is his love! How enduring and inclusive it is! Endless love beyond measurement that transcends our understanding—this extravagant love pours into you until you are filled to overflowing with the fullness of God! Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”(Ephesians 3:18-20 TPT) I’m forever thankful for Pastor Morris. This picture means a lot to me. - Vision realized – Sunday morning at UPPERROOM Dallas (Watch video clip above) was so special ministering to each heart who got a Weak Is The New Strong book as I signed them. Even more special was encouraging the church side by side with my life long friend, Michael Miller, founding pastor of UPPERROOM. The ministry experience and fruit is what we envision for the ministry tour. “Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. - Commissioning – The ACU Citation Award ceremony was special as more than two decades of friends, Jason Groves, founder of Refuge Ranch and Michael Miller, founder of UPPERROOM and country music singer, Aaron Watson spoke words of life over my life. In reflection, the award presentation served as a commissioning of sorts of the ministry tour we are about to go on equipping and encouraging churches across the United States. This really mobilized us like Jesus commissions and mobilizes His disciples. “One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Then he sent them out to tell everyone about the Kingdom of God and to heal the sick.”(Luke 9:1-2 NLT)
